Another Spectacular Weekend
Thank you to everyone who braved the atrocious weather conditions in the week leading up to the Ball weekend to make your way to the warmth and comfort of the Millennium Hotel Rotorua, for another simply spectacular event weekend.
Once again YOU ALL looked FABULOUS !!!!
Your costumes and the efforts you put into creating your walking art really was on show - congratulations and well done.
Special thanks must be given to all of our event team who pulled out all the stops over the past week to bring it together for you.
These people are all volunteers who take leave from their own jobs to come along and create this magic for you - for the love of the community and the reward of a job well done.
So please take time to thank the following people with us
James Papesch & Kree Strong
From driving the trucks over and back, to power lifting and loading all the props and theming on, off, on, off, and around around the hotel over the weekend - James is a foundation of our weekend.
And Kree, with her adorable cheeky smile, kept our team running by delivering them their morning teas and refreshments over the weekend as well as being a beautiful face on our registration desk.
Codey Morris & Shae Cook | Wildhart Workshop
We can't put a price on how much it means to have these two onboard and helping throughout our event weekend.
Codey brings a wealth of behind the scenes TV, film and set building experience to our event set up team - and is always full of enthusiasm and energy.
Shae also brings her years of TV & film experience as well as LARP and craft markets - runs our Craft Market set up over the weekend - as well as being a valued judge for this years Costume Competition
Patrick & Rosie Visser | Groove DJ's
When Paul and I first conceived this event back in 2019, we knew from day one there were two people we wanted in our corner.
Patrick had been my favourite DJ for our annual Cosplay 'End of the World' parties, and knew how to get our guests up, dancing and having fun. So we are excited to have Groove DJ's partner with us for our Costumiers' Fantasy Masquerade Ball weekend events.
Patrick & Rosie also supply all our lighting, special effects, sound systems, as well as the Pure Shots selfie photo booth you enjoyed.
Miceala Hopper de Chaby
One of our 'cosplay kids' who went on a number of our overseas trips, Miceala has also worked for event theming companies and been involved in set ups, theming, event running for a number of years.
